Portable treadmill is a great investment when it comes to poor weather, saving money, and safety. Running outside is common for most people, but sometimes it’s not as safe depending on where you live. I have a routine like many people, running at least 5 times a week without missing a day. I hate missing a day of running when it rains so having a small portable treadmill at my house keeps my routine going.

Just by having it around the house, when I have guest that comes over, they always get on it to try it out. This shows you that having a treadmill isn’t all that bad. In this article you will read about how getting a portable treadmill can save you money overtime, great uses with treadmills, and learn about what to look for.

Saving Room

The best portable treadmill would be the ones that have wheel and you’re able to fold it in the smallest size possible, that way you can put them away. Portable treadmill generally takes up a lot of space, so it’s always a good thing to be able to put it away in the most convenient way possible. If you don’t mind having it in the middle of your living room, than just find the cheapest treadmill that you can find.

How Getting a Treadmill Can Save Money

When I go to the gym I see a lot of people running on treadmills all the time. On any given day of the week, I see the same people on the treadmill and they run around 3 miles or 40 minutes worth and call it a day. With a gym membership that could run around $25 dollars a month, over a year’s period can be a lot of money. These portable treadmills aren’t cheap but over time you will be saving a lot of money if you plan on running all the time at the gym anyways. If you’re the type that likes the comfort of running with your own space and not having to smell sweat off other people than this is another reason to look into this.

Perfect Investment

I have grandparents who stay home a lot and don’t like to leave the house that often. I have to say that they are in great shape compared to many elderly people that I’ve met. Since they are at home all the time, they need their daily exercise to stay in good shape. They have their portable treadmill in the living room where they can watch television and walk at the same time. I find these treadmills are best for those that hate going outside but still want to maintain this healthy status.

Safety

Since most of these treadmills nowadays are operated by a computer which can pick the speed you desire, you have to be aware of some safety rules. It is best to keep children away from these treadmills and you shouldn't be running at a speed you can't keep up because you might slip and fall. Just know your limit and be ready to press the stop button if anything happens. It's always good to keep an eye out for safety, which is the most important thing.

Research Before You Buy

I’m not saying that you should go out and buy one right away, I’m just giving you my opinion about it. You can always try it out and see if you like it or not. They always have one at sport stores at least the ones I been to. If you’re the type that doesn’t like other people watching you run than this is perfect for you. There are a lot of online sites that sell treadmills, so you can easily compare prices and find the best that fits you.

I highly recommend looking for good deals to save any money possible. As far as how long it last, my grandparents had theirs for over four years and still work perfectly fine. If you have any comments about these treadmills than leave me a comment. You can also check out the portable treadmill reviews and see what other people think about it.

I have a stepper that i use but wouldn't mind a tread mill for variety. Thanks for the helpful hub.
